The legendary Royal Enfield 350cc Bullet is one of many examples in India of older, appropriate technology prevailing in the modern world. Basically, it is a 1959 model, modified over the years for Indian conditions, sporting 12v coil ignition and twin leading shoe front brakes.

At present, the Enfield factory in Madras turns out around 24,000 Bullets annually and exports large amount bikes. The Bullet has good positive handling and suspension and a maximum speed of around 120 kmph. The reality of riding on Indian roads is that 80 kmph, is more than fast enough in most conditions and 60-70 is a realistic cruising speed, and the bikes have ample power at these speeds. This, combined with an unsurpassed ruggedness, makes these bikes ideal for India's sometimes challenging road conditions.

We have several bikes with us to fulfill the biking need of our clients and all of them are in excellent running condition.

Before each tour each bike are thoroughly overhauled and tested, and our mechanic checks them after every riding day during the tour. Being passionate bikers, we do believe that there is nothing worse than a poor machine on a tour and we are fanatical about getting our bikes right. A back up vehicle, which carries the mechanic and spares, follows all of our tours. This vehicle / vehicles also double as a luggage carrier so that the bikes are not overloaded.
